Join instructor Jonathan Tagliani for an in-depth tasting and discussion of the wines of Italy. Begin in the north with selections from the mountainous regions of Piemonte, Friuli, Alto-Adige and the Veneto; and finish the tasting tour during week two with an exploration south through Tuscany and Abruzzo, into the southern regions of Campagna, Puglia and Sicilia. We will taste a variety of grapes from numerous producers – all showing the unique style and flavor of their particular region – and include a discussion of the various regional differences north to south. We’ll tackle the often nebulous Italian wine laws and discuss how to successfully navigate Italian wine labels. As you’d expect, a fabulous selection of regional cheeses will be provided to accompany the wines. Ci vediamo presto!
