"Sam Chamberlain at Home and Abroad"
Lecture and Tasting
Tuesday, March 2nd at 7:30
Join Salem historian Jim McAllister as he chronicles the life and achievements of Sam Chamberlain, printmaker, photographer, world traveler, writer and gourmand.
Before moving to Marblehead in the mid-1930s, Chamberlain spent nearly a decade and half exploring the architecture, culture, and food and wine of Europe.
Those travels, and his American later experiences, are chronicled in the more than 80 books he authored or co-authored in his lifetime, including several written with his beloved wife "Biscuit" about the gastronomy and wines of Europe. Join us for a lively lecture complimented with tastings of beautiful wines from Pamplemousse.
